All these days, are like a handful, of seeds, thrown into the air, growing a garden somewhere sacred, where beauty's choked out by weeds. Right in the middle, the willow's weeping with the fruit at my feet. Barefoot I walk through the thorns and the thistles, that carve out a path for me. As I walk flowers open up, petals sing to me a silent song. The melody's soft and beautiful, I'll never hear it again. Black and twisted, these vines are covering the door to my secrets, if I could find it I would pull out the poison that seems to be troubling me. If I get better, I wouldn't recognize my own face in the mirror, you wouldn't really know who I am, and why I'm poisoned. I don't know who I am or why I'm poisoned.

Reckless come back oh climb up, depression has a height, all in I'm out tonight. Heavy unwind mind made up, head hurts till shut eyes, punch out fall into the sky. Oh you don't make it easy, to fall apart, and when I fall I fall down hard. Oh precious perfume patience, shake this rust off of me, write down a small victory. Drop it give up don't look down, it's overwhelming, take care of yours truly. Oh you don't make it easy, to fall apart, and when I fall I fall down hard.

Tear drops in the wishing well, like coins you drop in, some things you can't buy or sell, same goes for wishing. Small hands hold a picture tight, to keep it alive, but you can't hold a memory in your arms forever. See the angels, hallelujah, they're all around her, hallelujah, they'll carry her home like I'm carrying you. So don't cry, cry baby, I'm so sorry what happened to mommy, don't cry, cry baby, I'll be holding your hand till the morning. The road seems to widen up, when you walk it alone, but you can't make a home, when you're always running. Feelings you can't describe, and you never quite did, some words are locked up inside, and you still wont say them. See the angels, hallelujah, they're all around her, hallelujah, they'll carry her home like I'm carrying you. So don't cry, cry daddy, I've been drying my eyes like you told me, don't cry, cry daddy, I'll be holding your hand till the morning.

I'd like to say it was an ordinary day, and that the fire wasn't falling from the sky. I'd like to go and sit alone, but all my friends were there for me, and you can't turn your back on that. I try to sleep I try not to care, but all this dreaming gives me nightmares. Where did all the children go, some have grown and some have gone away. Where did our families go, they're down the road but we still don't know, away. Woke up this morning and the fruit was hanging ripe up in the tree, so I took a bite or two. It tasted burnt, it tasted sweet, it tasted like a memory, I tried to save it but it died. And on a phone a father's trying, and on a bed a mother's crying. Where did all the children go, some have grown and some have gone away. Where did our families go they're down the road but we still don't know, away. Where are all the hands to hold, some burn out and some grow cold, away.

We're Happy 03:49
Plastic pills from a mannequin, to clean the dirt off your skin, push the cart, lift with the knees, don't touch me with your disease. Because we're happy to be monotone and all alone, we're happy to offer you this cubicle, and we're happy to reach out a hand with a rubber glove, and we're happy just to sterilize your pain. Kicks in again, your lightning hands, like a warning through the sky, your eyes fill up, like rainclouds, your legs are miles long, you tip the can, on a dry land, but no one notices. Because we're happy to be monotone and all alone, we're happy to offer you this cubicle, and we're happy to reach out a hand with a rubber glove, and we're happy just to sterilize your pain. Breathe breathe in again, but don't exhale, there's not enough air for us all, until no one's left.

A Better Way 04:32
Hollow out a place for these eyes, let me see colors again. Carve out a brand new smile, let my lips laugh again. I may not be colorblind, I may not be down all the time, but I need to find a better way. Been all around the sun, enough to know whats been done, I can't seem to find a better way. I know it's in there, peel back a couple layers of skin. Trapped in a ribcage am I living or barely alive. Throw some more fuel on this fire, and I'll make my own summer again. Because my blood has cooled and my hearts getting tired, I could use a spark to begin. I may not be colorblind, I may not be down all the time, but I need to find a better way. Been all around the sun, enough to know whats been done, I can't seem to find a better way. I know it's in there, peel back a couple layers of skin. Trapped in a ribcage am I living or barely alive.

Wait With Me 03:42
Hard times come, your lips are full of hope, time's spilling out of this glass, my hand's full of holes. I want you, I want you to, I want you to know, I want to, I want to show you, but these wheels turn too slow. Faith's like a mountain, I can't seem to climb. Love's like this highway, and we're hitching a ride. I want you, I want you to, I want you to know, I want to, I want to show you, but these wheels turn too slow.

Day's getting dimmer, I'm the obvious sinner, at least I don't keep it in. Night's getting colder, throw your clothes on your shoulder, and walk to the light again. And when that church choir sings, to catch that gospel train, I wont be listening, I'm already gone, already gone away. Sunshine is growing, a good time for going, when you have no money to spend. So walk where the road ends, and throw off your burdens, and wash in the river again. And when that church choir sings, to catch that gospel train, I wont be listening, I'm already gone, already gone away. Get on board, get on board, get on board, there's room for more, when that church choir sings, to catch that gospel train, I wont be listening, I'm already gone, already gone away.

Don't Go Far 04:32
I've tried, but I'll save my sweat, and try and forget what we've done. It's a long drive, when you're still by my side, but it doesn't feel right like it should. I'm not looking for answers, I know all that we've done, I know how far we've come. To say, we're better this way, if you're hurt you don't have to go far. I'll always be, the love you need, after I've broken your heart, my baby. Sometimes, all you can do is drive, sometimes the distance is healthy. I know, you need some time to clear your mind, but don't go so far you forget me. I'm not looking for answers, I know all that we've done, I know how far we've come. To say, we're better this way, if you're hurt you don't have to go far. I'll always be, the love you need, after I've broken your heart, my baby. If you're hurt you don't have to go far...

I fell in to a spiders web, when I lost my way. My arms were bound and my face was numb and I heard you calling for me. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out of it, after I promised not to let you down. I made a mistake, and I can't get out of it, after I promised not to let you down. I fell in to an empty pit, when I lost my way. My legs were broke and my spirits were breaking and I heard you calling for me. I opened my mouth, but nothing came out of it, after I promised not to let you down. I made a mistake, and I can't get out of it, after I promised not to let you down. Spirits are lifting and I am forgetting, the trouble I've seen, yeah the trouble I've seen. Spirits are lifted, this grain has been sifted and we have been spared, yeah we have been spared. Spirits are lifted, this weight has been lifted like these chains have lifted off of me.
